Me And My Blizzard (#656)

The Universe brought me a gift today in the form of a blizzard.

I was just 25 miles from my end of day stopover in Seibert, Colorado when the overcast sky with ominous gray clouds let loose a banshee wail of wind and snow.

The road was still clear so I traveled on.  Then my Google maps said 8 minutes to go.  Visibility was down to a couple hundred feet.  That 8 minutes could have been a lifetime.

I made it safe and sound to a cute little RV park called Shady Grove; altho’ today it could be called Snowy Grove.

The young couple running the park were so very gracious and welcoming.  It is so nice for a traveler to get such a warm welcome.

And now a fun day of kicking back, doing some cooking, roasting some veggies, reading a book in my cozy, warm little nest on wheels while the blizzard blows by outdoors.

I am blessed and grateful ~

ps. And maybe I will be here awhile.  The latest weather forecast:
